Alberto Etchegaray, has been appointed as President of the Self-Regulatory Board of the Mutual Fund Administrators Association

Avendaño Merino lawyer, Alberto Etchegaray, has been appointed as President of the Self-Regulatory Board of the Mutual Fund Administrators Association.

The Mutual Fund Administrators Association (AAFM) renewed its Self-Regulatory Board, appointing former Director of the Superintendence of Securities and Insurance, Alberto Etchegaray; the Dean of the Universidad Diego Portales Economic and Business Department; and the economist Daniel Tapia. This board will be in charge of ruling and enforcing the “Good Practice Manual”, rules that are compulsory for the Mutual Fund Administrators.

Oscar Ferrari, joins as new partner of Avendaño y Merino.

Oscar Ferrari graduated from Law School at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and has a LLM from the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London, and a Master in Tax Law from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.

After 17 years at Cariola Diez y Pérez Cotapos, 6 of them as a partner, Oscar Ferrari joins Avendaño y Merino to develop the tax practice of the firm and to contribute to strength its Corporate and Financial practices.

Oscar is a Professor of Tax Law at the School of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and has been constantly rated as one of the most prominent tax advisors in the country by specialized publications such as Chambers & Partners, LatinLawyer and Who?s Who Legal.
